Day Trip Itinerary

After a delicious breakfast at your accommodation, you will start your wonderful day tour by meeting your private tour guide specializing in Egyptology in a private A/C vehicle to start visiting the following:

Giza Pyramids

The Great Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the most famous. The three main pyramids in Giza are the Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure. There are also some other pyramids in the area for the wives of kings.

The Great Sphinx of Giza

The Great Sphinx of Giza is the largest Egyptian sculpture ever. Carved in the limestone of the Giza Plateau, it depicts a lion with a human head wearing what is called a headdress. Over the centuries, the Sphinx has lost its chin and its original reddish color.

Valley Temple of Khafra

The valley temple in which the king’s mummy was prepared for burial and where the mummification process was performed.

Lunch

Before continuing, we will take a break to eat and recharge. Lunch will be in a restaurant, and Egyptian food options are generally offered, including meat dishes, rice, and salads (drinks are not included).

National Museum of Egyptian Civilization

NMEC is the first museum in the Arab world to focus on ancient Egyptian civilization. The Museum of Civilization gives visitors an overview of all the different historical periods in Egypt. It is also an important cultural, educational and entertainment center for visitors, researchers and internationals.

Solo Traveller

I had an amazing time on my solo day trip to the Giza Pyramids and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization. My guide, Ahmed, was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and he made sure that I got the most out of my experience. The pyramids are even more awe-inspiring in person than they are in photos, and the museum is a must-see for anyone interested in Egyptian history. I highly recommend this tour to any solo travelers looking for an unforgettable experience.
