Cairo Stopover Tour Itinerary

We will start your wonderful day tour by meeting your private tour guide specializing in Egyptology in a private A/C vehicle to start visiting the following:

Giza Pyramids

The Great Pyramids of Giza is one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the most famous. The three main pyramids in Giza are the Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure. There are also some other pyramids in the area for the wives of kings.

The Great Sphinx of Giza

The Great Sphinx of Giza is the biggest Egyptian sculpture ever. Carved in the limestone of the Giza Plateau, it depicts a lion with a human head wearing a headdress. Over the centuries, the Sphinx has lost its chin and original reddish color.

Valley Temple of Khafra

The valley temple was where the king’s mummy was prepared for burial, and the mummification process was performed.

Lunch

Before continuing, we will take a break to eat and recharge. Lunch will be in a restaurant, and Egyptian food options are generally offered, including meat dishes, rice, and salads (drinks are not included).

The Citadel of Saladin:

This medieval fortress offers stunning views of the city below, and visitors can also explore the Mosque of Muhammad Ali, located within the citadel walls. The citadel was built in the 12th century to protect the city from invaders, and it offers a fascinating glimpse into Egypt’s medieval history.

Khan el-Khalili Bazaar

Khan El Khalili Bazaar is the oldest market in Egypt and one of the most beautiful and picturesque tourist destinations in Cairo. And it is famous for its ancient history and various products you can buy from there.

After these fruitful visits, we will return you to your accommodation or Airport.

An incredible experience! As a solo traveler, I was hesitant at first, but the tour made me feel included and safe throughout. The Pyramids were awe-inspiring, and our guide, Fatima, was fantastic. The Museum provided a deep dive into Egypt’s rich history, and exploring Khan El Khalili was an adventure in itself. Definitely a highlight of my trip

We just decided to book the Cairo Stopover Tour to Pyramids, Museum, and Khan El Khalili, and it turned out to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for all of us. Our guide was extremely thoughtful and well-informed from the moment we stepped off the plane at the airport to the moment we said our goodbyes. He showed us all the top attractions in Cairo, such as the Pyramids of Giza, the Egyptian Museum, and the Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Exploring the lively bazaar was a lot of fun, and we gained a lot of knowledge about Egyptian history and culture in the process. If you’re looking for a trip that will give you a well-rounded and entertaining glimpse into Cairo, I can’t think of a better option than this one.
