The Great Pyramids of Giza are one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the most famous. The three main pyramids in Giza are the Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure. There are also some other pyramids in the area for the wives of kings.
The Great Sphinx of Giza is the giant Egyptian sculpture ever. Carved in the limestone of the Giza Plateau, it depicts a lion with a human head wearing a headdress. Over the centuries, the Sphinx has lost its chin and original reddish color.
The valley temple was where the king's mummy was prepared for burial and the mummification process was performed.

The Aswan Dam was completed in 1970 and was constructed to protect Egypt from the periodic floods of the Nile River. It is a massive building from the twentieth century and one of the greatest modern Egyptian constructions.
The amazing Temple of Philae can be seen on the island of Philae, which lies between the Old and New Aswan Dams. It is one of the most beautiful temples in Aswan and Egypt. The temple was moved to its current location after the construction of the High Dam, which threatened to submerge it permanently.
The unfinished obelisk is located in a red granite quarry and dates back to the reign of Queen Hatshepsut. This obelisk is 42 meters high and has a mass of 1,200 tons. It was intended to be the tallest and heaviest obelisk ever erected in ancient Egypt.
