Cairo Luxor Aswan with Abu Simbel Overview

This tour of 6 Day Cairo Luxor Aswan with Abu Simbel takes only six days, but it gives you a deep understanding of Egypt’s rich history and culture. You will go from the famous pyramids necropolis to the peaceful attractions in Luxor and Aswan on this amazing trip through time. Get ready to be enthralled by Egypt’s rich past and amazed by its architecture.

Highlights

  • The famous Giza Pyramids are where your journey starts. They are a reminder of how grand Egypt is. There is no doubt that these building masterpieces have stood the test of time. Their sheer size is truly amazing. As you stand in the shadows of the pyramids, you can’t help but be amazed at how smart and skilled the ancient Egyptians were who built them.

  • The mysterious Great Sphinx of Giza is close to the pyramids. It is a huge animal with the body of a lion and the head of a king. For many years, people have considered it a guardian of the pyramids. Looking at this old guardian, you can’t help but think about its mysteries.

  • A hidden gem on the Giza plateau is the Valley Temple of Khafra. With its beautiful figures and elaborate woodwork, this well-preserved temple gives us a look into how the pharaohs buried their dead. As you look around the building, you’ll learn about the old ceremonies used to build the pyramids.

  • Visiting the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities in Cairo is like going back in time and seeing valuable artifacts from Egypt’s long and interesting history.

  • Take in the lively atmosphere of Cairo’s Khan el-Khalili Bazaar. You can bargain with local sellers, find one-of-a-kind gifts, and enjoy the tastes of traditional Egyptian cuisine here.

  • When you go to the Valley of the Kings, you feel right in the middle of Egypt’s royal past. This eerie, beautiful desert valley is home to the tombs of pharaohs and nobles.

  • The Colossi of Memnon are huge figures that stand proudly on the West Bank of Luxor. They used to guard the door to a long-forgotten tomb temple.

  • The Karnak Temple is a huge group of temples and churches that show how great Egyptian sacred buildings could be.

  • The Luxor Temple, right in the middle of Luxor, gives you a different view of old Egypt. This urban temple is for the god Amun, and the fact that it is close to a modern city makes it look even grander.

  • Modern work can be seen in the Aswan High Dam, which is in the middle of old Egypt. This huge building controls the great Nile River, which makes Lake Nasser so big.

  • There is a huge piece of history called the Unfinished Obelisk in the northern mines of Aswan. It was left there unfinished. This obelisk, carved straight out of the rock, is a rare example of how obelisks are built.

  • The Philae Temple is a beautiful example of an old Egyptian building. It is built on an island in the Nile and shows how deeply spiritual Egypt is. The temple is dedicated to the goddess Isis and has beautiful colonnades, complex hieroglyphs, and well-preserved reliefs.

  • The last part of your trip is a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage site Abu Simbel Temples. Pharaoh Ramses II cut these two buildings into the side of a rock. They are truly amazing. The main temple is for Ramses II, and the smaller temple is for Queen Nefertari, his loving wife. The huge figures and detailed paintings at Abu Simbel show how great ancient Egyptian art was. It was also an amazing feat to move these buildings out of the way of rising water. It shows how creative and environmentally conscious people are.

Our family recently embarked on the “6 Day Cairo Luxor Aswan with Abu Simbel” tour, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. From the moment we landed in Cairo, everything was meticulously organized, making our journey stress-free and enjoyable. The historical sites in Cairo were mind-blowing, and the pyramids left us speechless. Luxor’s temples and the Valley of the Kings were equally impressive. Aswan’s serene ambiance and the majestic Abu Simbel temples were highlights, but it was the seamless coordination by our guide, Ahmed, that truly made the trip exceptional. We can’t recommend this tour enough for families seeking adventure and culture.
