Day-to-day Itinerary

Our safari guide and driver will meet you at your designated meeting point in Cairo. After introductions, you’ll hop into the car and start your journey to Bahariya Oasis.

Upon arrival at Bahariya Oasis, you’ll meet your local guide, who will take you on a tour of the area. You’ll explore the local village and learn about the history and culture of the oasis.

Next, you’ll drive to the White Desert, about an hour from the oasis. The White Desert is known for its unique rock formations and stunning landscapes, and you’ll have plenty of time to explore the area and take photos.

After exploring the White Desert, your guide will set up a lunch spot for you in the desert. You’ll enjoy a traditional Egyptian lunch while taking in the beautiful surroundings.

After lunch, you’ll head to the Black Desert, named for its black volcanic rocks. You’ll have a chance to explore the area and the contrasting landscapes.

Next, you’ll have the opportunity to try sandboarding in the desert. Your guide will provide the necessary equipment and tips for gliding down the dunes.

After a day of exploring the desert, you’ll return to Bahariya Oasis. You’ll have some free time to explore the local markets and purchase souvenirs.

After a full day of adventure, it’s time to head back to Cairo. Your guide and driver will take you back to your designated drop-off location in Cairo.

You’ll return to Cairo around 9:00 PM, feeling tired but fulfilled after a day of adventure in the desert.

  • Your daily tours usually start at 8 am, but you can change the time in coordination with your private guide.
  • You can make any changes to the itinerary if you have any special requests.

  • After booking the trip, we will send you a voucher with all the booking details.

Prices

  • Prices are in US dollars per person per trip and you can pay in any other currency.
  • Rates are subject to change in case of any changes in airport taxes, hotel rates, transport rates, or government taxes.
  • Rates are not valid during Christmas or New Year.
  • Travel insurance and entry visa charges are not included in the package.

Tipping in Egypt

Tipping is not included in any of our packages and is entirely up to the discretion of travelers. Although it is not mandatory, it is of great importance to the people who take care of you while traveling.

Extra Expenses

Extra personal expenses on the trip may include a food tour, alcoholic beverages, tipping, visa fees, recreational expenses, and other services not listed.

Following are the items with extra costs during the trek:

  • Additional transport that you require.
  • Tipping for the guide and driver after the trip.
  • In case of unforeseen events like bad weather conditions and eventual flight cancellations, you are responsible for extra hotel nights and meals.

Optional Visits & Entry Tickets

All our packages and tours of Egypt do not include entrance fees to special archaeological sites such as entering the pyramids from inside, the mummies’ room in Museum, or entering the Tutankhamun tomb in the Valley of the Kings in Luxor.

Booking Confirmation Policy

  • The customer receives a confirmation voucher via email within 24 hours of successful booking.
  • We are offering a low down payment of just 25% to secure your spaces on tour, including hotel rooms, cruise cabins, domestic flight tickets, and other travel-related services. The remaining balance can be paid up to two days before your arrival date or in cash upon arrival at the destination to your tour manager, making you’re booking a risk-free investment.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation after confirmation with payment before 30 days of the commencement of the tour: 10% of the value of the tour package.
  • Canceling the tour 30 to 20 days before commencement of the tour: 25% of the value of the package
  • Canceling 19-15 days before commencing the tour: 50% of the tour cost
  • Canceling 14-11 days before commencement of the tour: 75% of the tour cost
  • Canceling before 10 days or less before the tour date: No refund for the tour

Children Policy

  • Up to 2 years: FREE
  • Age from 2 and below 6 years: 25% of adult price
  • Age from 6 up to 11 years: 50% of adult price
  • Ages 12 and Up: adult price.

What an incredible experience! We recently took a safari trip to Bahariya oasis from Cairo, and it exceeded all our expectations.

Absolutely, the journey itself was an adventure. We were picked up right on time in Cairo, and our guide, Ahmed, was knowledgeable and friendly.

The desert landscape was breathtaking, and we got to explore the White Desert, the Black Desert, and Crystal Mountain. The contrast between them was amazing.

And let’s not forget about the food! The traditional Egyptian meals prepared by the campfire were mouthwatering.

My family and I just got back from an exciting vacation trip from Cairo to Bahariya, and it was amazing! As soon as we left Cairo with our knowledgeable guide, Ahmed, the adventure began. He made sure to tell us interesting things about the history, culture, and beautiful desert landscapes we were about to see.

The jeep safari through the White Desert was without a question the best part of the trip. We were all amazed by the strange rock shapes. Even better, our kids got to camp out under a starry night sky, which was a magical experience. The food we cooked over the campfire was wonderful, and we really felt like we were a part of nature.

We can’t say enough good things about how friendly and helpful everyone at Bahariya Adventures has been. This tour was better than we could have imagined in every way, and we are already making plans for our next trip. We strongly suggest!
